The BBC's Andrew Marr fell ill with coronavirus despite being vaccinated twice. He asked Sir Peter Hornby, a government advisor on Covid-19 and chair of NERVTAG (a group looking at emerging virus threats) if he had just been unlucky. Marr thought he was immune but still got ill !

Sir Hornby said the vaccine is effective in preventing hospitalisation and death but breakthrough infections are being seen which produce mild to moderate symptoms.
